Religious Education

The mission of the catechetical program at St. John's is to help all participants and their families develop a relationship with the person of Jesus Christ, and to live out their Catholic faith in ways that draw spiritual growth and service.

Religious education is life-long learning that helps deepen the appreciation and understanding of God's presence in our lives.

Attention Confirmation Students

We have reshaped our Teen faith development to align it more with the guidelines of the Archdiocese. All teens are encouraged to attend the weekly LifeTeen classes to learn about our faith, develop a close relationship with Christ, encourage service to the parish and community and have fun doing it! Those who are preparing for Confirmation will be required to attend Confirmation classes on Sunday mornings. The Life Teen weekly catachesis is now a vital part of Confirmation preparation, you will be required to attend at least 75% of the LifeTeen classes and all of the Confirmation classes or the sacrament can be delayed.

If you know your child will have a problem attending either the LifeTeen or the Confirmation classes on a consistant basis, you must make an appointment with

Life Teen & Edge

Life Teen & Edge focuses on bringing teens closer to Christ in the Eucharist and leads teens and their families into a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church.

Life Nights are held on Wednesdays and include fellowship through sharing a meal together, prayer, catechesis, and small group discussions. The discussions help the youth better understand how to apply their Catholic teachings to their daily life challenges and how not to comprimise these teachings through peer pressure.
